About Mojo

I have been painting for years hence many different styles over the years. I just love creating.  The uninhibited approach to space, line, shape and color trademark this painter and her journey to “Return to the Child Artist.” A 40 year professional design background as a promotional art direc- tor and designer for companies including Architectural Digest is evident throughout her graphic, yet playful works. Whether it is a figure, landscape, still life or pure abstract — Modzelewski adds a unique twist to ordinary items and scenes. Simplifying shapes and painting from the heart, Mojo (Mod- zelewski) captures the unique essence of everyday subjects with work that speak to the viewer in a direct and captivating way.
Her style is unique and has been described as an abstract colorist, full of freshness while exuding a sense of calmness at the same time. To this artist, “Art is the joy of life put into a form others can experience.”
Her natural abilities have been nurtured through years of formal training and private study with instructors including, John Trees, MFA and Dr. Alex Villumson. She is a past member of the Art- ist Co-op7 in Los Angeles and a current member of the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society and Oceanside Museum of Art. She is an exhibiting and teaching artist in the Southern California area.
Her art can be found in numerous private collections throughout the United States and Germany.
